![]() ![]() Turn dial to right unti is is on 0 (zero). Before starting, clear all settings by turning the dial CLOCKWISE (to the right) three times. Previous customers have reported mixed success with this (this will wipe out the original combination, so can leave you in a worse position if you're not successfully able to set a new one) but here are the directions, should you wish to attempt it: Select a new 4-number combination. The other option is to attempt to re-set the combination. At the company's discretion, sometimes they require that you submit a notarized affidavit confirming ownership. When you call Honeywell, you will need to provide your safe's model number, the serial number (found on the right of the safe, near the model number), and also your key number, if possible, if your safe is one that requires a key. Each Brinks 5084 safe has a different default combination, so to get the original combination you must either contact Honeywell (the parent company for Brinks safes) at 1-8or alternately you may wish to try the re-setting procedure I will describe below IF your safe is the type with a turning combination lock (some Brinks safes have push-button locks, and this procedure won't work for them of course.)
